Creaform, a business unit of Ametek Inc., has introduced the latest version of its VXscan-R software module for the VXelements 10 platform. The new version is compatible with a variety of robots, including collaborative ones.

The software, an integral part of the R-Series, offers automated 3D scanning for at-line applications, turnkey systems, and customizable layouts. It provides a digital twin environment for program preparation, scan simulations, and execution.

Used with the MetraScan 3D-RTM, a robot-mounted optical CMM scanner, the R-Series is designed to help users find defects early and ensure that all parts are measured correctly, without human impact and subjectivity, according to the company.
